In Response To: SO HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN LIFTING ? (Tim"THEPEOPLESCHAMP"Bruner)

I started in 1975. Wisconsin Jr. State Championships. I weighed 172. The lighter classes (123 - 165) lifted in the morning and 181 on up lifted in the afternoon. I remember guys in the 123 and 132 class lifting more than my planned openers. I bombed in the squat because of lack of knowledge rather than lack of strength. They did let me bench and DL and gave me the 5th place medal (out of 5 lifters)

Tim, I remember those slackers you used to train with. That had to be at the Texas Athletic Club in Austin.
Doug Young would fill a doorway when he would walk through it.
Chip McCain was one of the smartest lifters I ever met. We competed against each other as Teenagers when I moved to Texas.
Todd Hyataka, very good bencher and super nice guy.
Chris Johnson had himself a pretty good bodybuilding career.
