In Response To: SO HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN LIFTING ? (Tim"THEPEOPLESCHAMP"Bruner)

I have followed the sport since the late 1970's as a high schooler after reading the Guiness Book of WRs and seeing that photo of Paul Anderson pulling and the list of Powerlifting and Olympic lifting records. Got more into it after seeing a photo of Doug Young in Todd's Inside Powerlifting, saw Kaz in Muscle & Fitness, bought my first issue of Powerlifting USA, wrote MacDonald and he actually wrote me back, and then started competing in the mid 1980's...first ADFPA and later USPF. I haven't competed for years but have kept lifting heavy on and off. Hope to compete again as a 181#er now that I'm in Oklahoma and there are a lot more meets. I have met and seen many great lifters over the years...all teriffic and supportive, no matter how superior they were experience and skill wise. I've met RDC, Mike MacDonald, Chris Confessore, Dan Mlodozeniec, and countless others over the years. Sat a few feet from Confessore and Mlodozeniec as the put up huge numbers! It just keeps getting better.
