I dont understand your point.Meaningless to whom?To those in it,whats meaningful is doing bigger numbers and improving.Ive never understood this insane obsession the IPF/USAPL guys have with the top 100 lists.Larry Miller is focussed on this constantly in every single article he writes.They cant stand that the lists dont reflect that guys are lifting multi-ply or non tested etc.and that they are compared to those lifters.Incredibly though,they have no problem with lifts being done today in their feds,with those done in the 70s or 80s.They see no problem with that.Thats perfectly legit in their eyes.Never mind the gear is ten times more effective today,no that doesnt matter.The multi ply guys have no problem admitting that gear is the main reason for the big jumps in the numbers,but the single ply guys CANT or wont admit it.
