Tim,
Having a handfull of bills is not proof of anything other than you bought something. Proof would be in the form of an agreement, signed and dated by both parties. Then, showing proof that the other did not live up to their end of that written agreement. I saw bills that Les had from that meet and the money he lost just like you claim, but in your defense Tim, I wouldn't entertain that kind of deal with Les either. Basically that deal was between you and Les and anything that hapend is his word against yours. You chose to pubically slam Les, he chose not to. He could have done the same to you and plastered the internet with all kinds of information regarding you, but like I said, he chose not to.Les is attempting to do some good for the young lifters out their who cannot afford to lift. He is working with reputable names and together they have some very good ideas to help promote this sport that we all love. All this slaming is doing is hurting PL. Leave it alone and let the meets speak for themselves. You have already had one lifter speak of a very positive experience with a meet they lifted in that Les was involved with. But even he gets delt the Brunner blow and gets berated for it.
Tim, your a smart guy and have a lot to ofer this sport and to upcoming lifters. Lets face it, you have made some fine accomplishements in this sport. Those are facts. I have often wanted to sit down with you and discuss training techniques etc. Especially in the deadlift. But this thing has put up a wall preventing that. I feel there is something I can learn from everyone out there. Take Les, he is an amazing technician. At my last little meet he watched a buddy of mine bench and miss his opener. He went to him and gave him a small peice of advice and my buddy made his lift next attempt. Les can help a person make up in technique where they lack in strength. You on the other hand can take a strong person and help make them stronger and teach them to chanel that strength in the proper area.
My challenge to you is to become more positive and leave a legacy that you can be proud of along with your accomplishments. I know you can do it, the choice is yours to want to.
your friend
Scott Halbert
