Mr. Anello

I know you on occasion read this forum. As perhaps one of if not the greatest DEADLIFTER of all time, I thought (and perhaps many others) with you being whom you are, whom do you think 1) what was the greatest deadlift of all time and 2) who was/is the greatest deadlifter of all time.

We as average lifters can talk and say things but I find it very interesting what a lifter who has been there thinks?

Keep in mind I have seen many of the great deadlifts of all time including a few of your lifts.

From Lamar grants 622 at 123 or his 639 at 132 to Mark Henrys 904. Don't forget along the way John Inzers 780 at 165 and even the greta Mike Bridges 771 at 181 tot total 2105, and what about the GREAT ONE Ed Coan 181 791 or his 859 at 198 also totaling 2200 plus and of course his 903 at 220 (just 20 pounds shy of the all time lift). Then forget not Danny Wohberger (spell) first to do 900 at 275, also Doyle to pull 904 at Hawaii at super and then there is Steve Goggins pulling in the high 800 in a few classes. There was Charlie Driscoll with 854 at 242 and what about our USAPL brothers, Brad G going 800 plus year after year and what about Tony Harris 777 at 242 and let's don't forget about Joe Hood doing a 799 at 220 and losing an 800 by one red light?

What about you going 803 at 198 back in the ice age and rumor has it 880 in training? As of late the great Andy Boltin with a 1003 deadlift. Then we can never forget the MAN John KUC 870 at 242 in Dallas and maybe 900 if tries? Then there is Jon Cole and Bob Peoples 7 something back at the beginning of time. (Keep in mind this is all off the top of my head so I may have left out a few and missed a few pounds) As I get to 50 years old I am forgetting alot of things.

SO lets say someone put a gun to your head and pulled clicked the hammer, who would you say is the greatest deadlifter of all time and what was the greatest deadlift of all time?

The peoples fans want to know!

Thank you for the time.
