I first became a referee for the USPF. Over the past ten years, I have lifted or refereed in the following feds: AAU, APF, AAPF, APC, AWPC, WPC, WPO, USPAL, and (NASA..sorry it was only one time). I don't change the way I judge based on what federation it is. I take exception to your comment that having a monolift would attract lifters/judges from other feds who have different perceptions of what powerlifting should be. Lifting with a monolift, whether you back the weight out or not, does not change where depth should be called, whether or not you wait for a command, whether or not your knees are locked, etc. It sounds as though you think that a monolift would bring a lower caliber of lifters and/or officiating. Now THAT is a slippery slope...
