No, you said that a 500lb gearless bench wasn't that big of a deal. It is a big deal. Becca's 550 geared bench has nothing to do with the discussion since she did it USING A SHIRT. And what I bench press is irrelevant also because even if I had the gearless record 500 gearless would still be worldclass.

So lets revisit the debate which is "a 500lb gearless benchpress is worldclass." Maybe we can make it simple for you. Here's a hypothetical: a federation, let's say the IPF, is having their worlds. They have dozens of people in each weight class. Everyone's gear is in one room during the rules meeting. All of the sudden that room catches on fire and all the gear is toast. The lifters are dissapointed but they want to lift anyway, so they do. Now, instead of 600 to low 700's being the norm for benching lifters are in mid 4's to mid 5's. World class just went from 600-700 to 450-550.

Whenever you're losing and argument you always fall back on the "bringing down the sport" bullshit. Admitting that a 500 gearless bench is uncommon is not desparaging anyone, it's just the truth. Not being able to seperate shirts from this debate has nothing to do with simple math. It's just simple stupidity.
