Was held this past weekend in Carteret, NJ.
An excellent example of a successful, local, well attended (60+ lifters, several hundred in the audience) grass roots meet.
- many juniors in their first meets
- a good mixture of raw dawgs and double ply gear whores
- nice spacious venu (HS gym)
- 2 monos and 3 benches in the warmup room, nice platform in the gym
- real actual food available in the lobby
- good consistent judging
Our sport needs more of these, and shows that it is growing in good ways.
