You may have a point about the training, bands, boards and chains do help mostly for gear, But the lifters in the early 80's still hadnt masterd the short strokes of the lifters of today. Kas had a medium, to close grip, and never got back on his shoulders like moderen day top lifters do. He could have took a lot of distance off of his stroke.
