how can you call civilians "free riders" when THEY are paying YOU for your service...a service you VOLUNTARILY agreed to take part in

when you live in a free country that means free to CHOOSE what career, job, profession you are willing and able to obtain. Mandatory services is a little bit less than slavery. Do you really want some of the dead beats walking the street to be anywhere advanced weaponry? especially when they don't want to be there?

anyone who claims to be for a draft or mandatory service probably wasn't around during the period when we really did have a draft. the military was nowhere near as effective as the one, full voluntary, that we have now. You know who had an involuntary military? Sadaam Hussein. Did you see how fast his military surrendered?
