I saw a pic of Peary Rader sitting as a judge for one of Mike Mc Donald`s bench press world record performances. A very, very old man in winter`s clothing looking at Mike`s performance with immense concentration. The caption read that he had driven 600 miles so Mike could have enough judges to get it officially accepted if lifted correctly. Immense quality of character. Peary`s editorials remain the best ever. Unforgotten his strength career as well: After reaching 200 lbs in the bench press as a total hard gainer he increased it by 5 lbs per year 33 years in a row, reaching a drugfree raw 365 as a man in his late 50s, drugfree. Also reached 300+ raw for 20 in the squat. Considering his genetic background, age: As impressive as anything in sports I ever read about.
