You missed the point, whether or not USPF or someone else does it. Just winning a meet shouldn't qualify you for a world championship. The meet I was refering to earlier is a great example, EVERYONE QUALIFIED. Just by default they qualified. All someone had to do was get on the board, and all that really means is......If they wanted to someone could have done the bar and qualified. Wheteher they did anything close to a "world" level lift or they were a beginner with a beginners type of lift. I was spot loading at a meet last year and a teenager was taking attempts that were really easy. I made a comment about putting some weight on the bar and he said "I'm just here to qualify for worlds, all I have to do is place." He never pushed himself, didn't even try and he qualified. This is what makes our sport more of a joke, more then the extreme gear does. Hundreds of people who don't even really belong will be deluded to thinking they do. In APF you at least have to hit a qualifying total to go to Seniors...not in WABDL just place in a meet in a meet (Even if the only people in your division is you, yourself and I).
