a very good friend of mine, Ralph Fruguglieti, just won the master's world track championships (discus) in Italy a couple of weeks ago. He has been chasing Mr. Oerter's master record (I think it's 212)for a couple of years now. Ralph had thrown 205-207 in practice before this meet. He hit 195 for the gold, but the record stands. Al Oerter was a stud of an athlete for several decades. kw
