1964 they did not have the extensive coverage of the Olympics they do now, but I remember watching it. Watching the throws by Oerter and others was something to see. Lots of technique and use of good aerodynamics.
He became an artist in later years and while not my style of art, they are really good.

No Ricky, my style of art is not dogs playing poker.
