I understand that. But he is jail for contempt of court. As far as I can see he is still serving his time.

Bonds should never have lied in his grand jury testimony. He did so to preserve his paycheck (maybe?). And he's letting his "pal" rot in prison to preserve his paycheck. Is that how a "great" man should act? To let other people do his time and take punishment for his misdeeds? Come on Billy....
I don't think the government's involvement in the Bonds case but Bonds has only himself to blame. He should of either admitted that he did use (and every other American put in position would have made the same choice) or he should have plead the 5th. Either way he probably wouldn't have made it into Cooperstown... but do you think he's headed there now?
