It sounds like you were provoked into hitting the idiot. I know when your out with your girlfriend you don't want to look weak. You should be able to wear any shirt you want. I do think you aren't be honest about why you hit him. Protecting your girl was an afterthought once you got some heat about it. It didn't sound like she was in harms way, verbally addressed or being threatened by them or you would have said it. You put her in harms way by reacting in violence where she then could have been accidentally hurt or more of his friends jump in and attack her to retialiate. There is nothing wrong with being a self absorbed @ss who got enjoyment out of beating a unequally strengthened punk....revel in it as he deserved it. Next time, remember brawn can't beat a bullet. Situations can escalate easily. A little humility goes a long way. Next time don't post macho bull to make you appear tougher and heroic...IT WAS A BAR FIGHT.
