Thanks for the advice Rich! I called the cops as soon as I got home because I was asked by the owner of the bar to leave. The cops didn't want to make a report at first because he said it was mutual combat. I asked how that could be if before I struck him I refused combat, and tried to get my girl and retreat to safety with safety and only after he grabbed me did I defended myself. When he went down I retreated and refused further combat. I could have jumped on top of him and pounded him or stumped his guts out while he was napping but I did not. He then took the report and gave me a report number.
