One night my girl friend and I were in a bar she went to and this guy, weighing about 120 and getting drunk. I don't drink so I had a cool head. The more he drank the bigger he thought he was.

He was verbally abusing me and I ignored him and it was irritating him. After a couple of hours of him getting ignored, I was shooting pool and he got between me and the pool table and shoved me. I lost it and picked him up and threw him onto the pool table. I think me picking him up, like a rag doll, sobered him up. My girl friend made me leave the bar, which was fine with me. Just landing on the pool balls hurt him plenty.

I was training for the USPF National Masters, 1990, and the meet was about two weeks away and I was around 250 at that time. When I picked him up I tore a tri and had to withdraw from the meet. That was a bummer. I was squatting around 750, benching low 400's and pulling low 600's (all in training, not a meet). I was expecting to have a good meet.
