Western States Police and Fire Games

In Response To: Why do police and firemen need their own category? (J. Greenwood)

Police and Fire have their own games at the regional level, national level and World level in about 50 different events. No other occupation does it like the police and fire.
The difference between the powerlifting at the Western States Police and Fire along with the World Police and Fire games and the USAPL police and fire nationals is that the Western States and World PF games are all done without equipment and they are only bench and deadlift. No full power. The USAPL National PF will at least give P & F an option to use equipment and compete in a full power meet. Another difference is that the Western State games and World games do not drug test. Not a good idea to test a cop and have him come up positive. I don't know the USAPL drug testing policy on testing cops.
