one comment on how i treat judging:

i believe that with the radical gear and the shortened stroke allowed by the wide-stance/monolift, we are already at a huge advantage over yesteryear's lifter. while there is no need to make someone 'convincingly break' parallel, we owe it to the integrity of the sport and fair competition to get down there. of course, the benefit of the doubt in my mind still goes to the lifter and i judge accordingly.

when confronted with a bombout, the lifter usually comes to the conclusion that their training was likely to blame and adjusts their box height or depth expectations accordingly.

i've been in that situation many times. lol.

again, thanks for inviting me to participate. i learned a lot of things and am scrambling to implement them for the tampa barbell event.
