I have lifted in NASA, USAPL, ADFPA, USPF and others and have to say I have seen bad lifts called in every meet I have ever been to. A reply to what Mark said about starting out with a respected federation, which one are you taling about? Look at some of the lifts done in the WPO and other federations, some of them suck and are sloppy lifts and they are getting white lights AND being listed in the top 100. I don't agree with some of the stupid rules in the respected federations such as what kind of underwear you can wear, no thumb loops over the thumb when lifting and NO touching the lifter after once you are on the platform and so on. A good lift is one or more peoples opinion and that is that.
