Ron, thanks for your input. I have never met Spud, but I have heard that he's a great guy. I'm anxious to see him back soon.

Yes, the judging was pretty tight. I had a really good view on the platform, in between running the jack, etc., and John and Bob (the side judges) were not giving away anything that would compromise the integrity of the meet. I know at least on one occasion I heard John apologize to one of the lifters after he had red-lighted his squat, but he wasn't going to give away a lift that he felt should't pass.

It was a privilege to be there to help the Power Station guys with the meet and to witness such incredible lifting up close. There is talk that Louie and Mike are going to put together another meet sometime in January or February, this time in Columbus.
