We found it - IPA Pro Am meet

It was a longer drive than expected but we found it. Victor was coaching and our time was limited so nothing more than a hand shake and hug was exchanged. His son finished with approximately a 940 squat @ 198. I am guessing he would be good for around 900 in single ply, USPF depth and a walkout. He handled the weight easily.

Got to meet Tommy Fannon and spoke with Scott Cartwright for awhile. We only stayed for the one flight of squats.

It was definately IPA style and judging seemed to be consistent within thier rules. I say seemed because the place was sold out and jammed packed! My viewing actual depth was limited.

The platform area was very crowded and I was surprised the lifters were managing so well. Add the mono lift to the mix with the crowded platform and unless you had a knowledge of Powerlifting - squat depth seemed to be of no importance to the large sold out audience. Again, keep in mind there was indeed an audience. Also the judges seemed to stay consistent with judging of depth by IPA rules...IMO.

These folks had a full meet and it ROCKED ...congratulations to the promoters.
