I didn't understand where you were getting the (purposely using SLP as a stepping stone) until I reread BigSteel/Robert Vick's post. I don't think that that is what he meant. Instead, I think he just took a literary shortcut to say the same thing I did. If one is serious from the start, it's much more likely that a lifter will seek out a more formal fed. But many don't like all the rules, aren't serious about getting better and like the atmosphere of SLP.

We're probably near the height of agreement.
