I've railed against this seeming discrepancy for a long time and the response is always the same: WABDL benchers reply that Gus let them vote on this issue and this is what the benchers there want. This does skew the PLW ranking now, because Jon has to consider them a multi-ply fed.

Some WABDL benchers believe that the new single-ply polys give as much caryover as double-denims, so they feel they can justify their position. I just don't understand how they can have such a patchwork shirt policy.
