Check this out. Wabdl only allows single ply gear in a poly but double ply denum is ok as long as it is not grid stiched, closed neck and the collar isn't a super neck. Well ok. I have talked to Gus several times on this issue trying to make him understand this makes no sence at all. It seems he should have a level playing field and make the league a single ply gear only rule but NO. I have blow out 4 single ply shirt in my past 2 national meets with 2 being at WABDL worlds last year. So I got to thinking, I would really like to bench in a DD but Titan doesn't make one. I called Titan the they agreed to make me a DD that meets the WABDL rules so I called Gus to see if it would be ok and guess what. A big fat NO and he would't even consider it. I just don't understand how he allows DD with other gear company but denies Titan. I believe he should have allowed me to use the DD Titan or outlaw all DD shirts. How is it fare to make one compete in a single poly againt a DD.
I would like to see especially all Titan lifters and single ply lifters come together and boycott WABDL on this rediculous rule. Give him a call and let him know if you think this is fair as I don't. I would like to see him change the rule either way it goes. But as it stands I won't be lifting in WABDL not that Gus cares anyway but I am sure he would if he only had 300 lifters in Worlds instead of 700.
