RDC:I respect your opinions and your legendary status in this sport.Not respecting the pioneers and giants of powerlifting by the new generation of lifters is one of the problems of our sport as I see it.With saying that, I respectfully do not agree that "raw" lifting has divided our sport.I believe poor judging which has led to poorly performed lifts getting passed and the resulting falsely inflated records are the main culprit.The bending of the rules to see huge lifts passed.This is what has to stop.I cannot see how introducing minimal or unequipped lifting with separately kept records leads to dividing issues.Unless you are looking at it from the angle of yet one more division or federation.
