First of all you can't automatically equate crime with violence. So you can ignore half the stats you listed. We'll focus on assault, rape and murder.
What is assault? Assault in the United States can be someone squirting catchup on your white shirt. Consider that the US is the ONLY country that would record that offence as an assault and you can see why we are number one for assaults. I'm almost willing to bet that no less than one half of recorded asaults are dumb@asses like you that got their feelings hurt (assaulted) on the internet.
Murder. You have to remember that in China, India, Russia and a lot of other countries that murders aren't always reported let alone recorded. In some countries you can legally kill your wife or kids. Those deaths aren't reported as a murder. If those missing murders were included we would rank far lower than we already do. Still, being twenty-fourth of sixty-two is already an astonishingly good, safe number.
Rape. Here is another anomaly. US statisticians are including prison rape. I'm sure if your lilly white @ss was in prison for any amount of time then you are probably one of those statistics. Should prison rape count in the stats? I don't think so. Just as someone squirting mustard on your prison uniform shouldn't count on the national assault stats. Also, consider that in some countries it's okay to molest little kids. The rape of children probably makes up half of the US's rape stats. Remove those rapes and prison rapes and we would be at the bottom of the list.
The US is probably the safest and friendliest country on the Earth. We are kinder to jailed terror suspects than those terror suspects are to their wives and kids. Most US prisoners would be better off in prison here than free on the streets in the foreign countries ranked on the list. Our crime stats are high because our stats are ACTUALLY RECORDED. And not only are they recorded but they incorporate a broader spectrum of crime (like raped children, beaten wives and your soiled prison uniform).
Maybe if you were as smart as you thought you were you would have been an Estep or Iams instead of their knee wrapper and jock washer.
