Nazi lore also holds the the Germanic peoples were directly decended from the Titans. It was said that they became "ungod-like" by mating with the mud peoples. Hitler felt that by wiping out the mud people he could purify the Nazi race and return it to god-like status. The Nazis didn't understand genetics very well. You can't breed out heritage you can only dilute it.
