Can you compete as a Graduate student?

I plan on starting a club at my school next year and I am going to be a junior as an undergraduate (20 yrs old). I also plan on going to Medical School once I complete my undergraduate degree. Will I still be able to compete at collegiate level once I go into a professional/graduate school?
