Starting a new lifting club

To whom it may concern,

I am a student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. I am going to be starting a lifting club here next year. My ultimate goal is to have a team that competes and we have been looking to compete in this organization. I was wondering what it would take to get a U.S.A Power lifting sanctioned team and to possibly bring a competition to this school. Anyone willing to help in any way or anyone who has any helpful hints or info please contact me.
